FROM:        Colette Bishop, National Director, Veterans & Family Support Program

SUBJECT:   Donations for Unmet Needs -- CORRECTION

I recently sent out a bulletin indicating where to send donations for the Unmet Needs Program.  Please
disregard that previous information!  Make all checks payable to Unmet Needs and forward to the following
address:

Unmet Needs Program
VFW Foundation
406 W. 34th Street
Kansas City, MO. 64111

By sending checks through the VFW Foundation, Departments and Auxiliaries will be able to see how much
has been donated by their state on the map the VFW is updating which can be accessed via the Unmet
Needs link on their web site:  http://www.vfw.org.

The Ladies Auxiliary VFW National Office will receive a report from the VFW Foundation monthly showing the
Auxiliaries who have made donations.  We will forward a copy of the report to the Department Veterans &
Family Support Chairman, in order that she can see exactly what donations have been received and credited
by the VFW Foundation from the Auxiliaries within the Department.

If you have any questions regarding any of this information, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy
to assist you.

VETERANS and FAMILY SUPPORT EVENT COMMITTEE

The VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Tucson has established a Veterans and Family Support (VFS) Event Planning
Committee with the goal of organizing activities for families of Military personnel who are deployed overseas. The
VFS Committee meets monthly at the Moose Lodge Chapter 2229 on Oracle Road. Their objective is to act as liaison
with all Military Family Readiness Groups’ (FRG), veterans’ organizations and other organizations within the Tucson
area. After only the second meeting there are already over 20 active members of the committee, including: Ladies
Auxiliary members from Post 549 and 10188; five FRG; and an active duty soldier. Planning is already solidified for
activities well into May. For further details about the Tucson VFS contact the Committee Chair Kim Sloan.
