Eligibility Requirements, a Scout must:
♦ Be a registered active member of a Boy Scot Troop, Venture Crew or Sea Scout Ship.
♦ Have earned their Eagle Scout.
♦ Have reached their 15th birthday but not reached their 20th birthday on date of entry.
♦ Be sponsored by a local VFW Post or Auxiliary and submit their completed entry form through
the sponsoring Post/Auxiliary by March 1, 2007.
The following information must be submitted by the Candidate
School Participation Record:
Please submit a list of your school activities to include academic record, offices held, sports
participation, club memberships, and honors received.
Scouting Record:
Please submit a record of your scouting activities including all scout units you have been
involved in, when your Eagle award was received, all leadership positions you held, all of your
service projects, Camps and Jamborees attended, special activities with your troop and all
awards received.
Community Service:
Please submit a list of all of the community service activities and services you are involved in.
You should include religious organizations, clubs, scouting and school activities as well as those
you do on your own.
Eagle Project:
Please include a brief description of your Eagle Project. List how your leadership skills helped
complete the project, who was involved (scouts, friends, family, etc.) and how the project helped
your community.
Letters of Recommendation:
Please submit 3 – 5 letters of recommendation. One must be from your school, one from a
scout leader, and one from your community.
Photo:
A photo of the Scout in full uniform must be included.
